At the CTIA Wireless 2011 event, the South Korean company, Samsung has announced two new Android tablets, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Both Samsung tablets are slightly thinner (just 8.6mm thick) than Apple’s iPad 2 tablet.

They are also runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS with new TouchWiz UX such as Mini Apps Tray and a customizable Live Panel menu. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets are brings a 1GHz dual core application processor, 16GB / 32GB / 64GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot (up to 32GB), a 3MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera.

There are WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and works in EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, HSPA 21Mbps 850/900/1900/2100 MHz. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9 Honeycomb tablets would be available in June 2011.
