Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 S7710 IP67-certified Android Jelly Bean smartphone coming to the UK next month

Already officially introduced few days ago, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 S7710 smartphone will be available in the UK next month, March 2013. Expansys is started taking pre-order this Samsung rugged smartphone (4GB model and SIM-free) but unfortunately, it’s no word on pricing info or exactly shipping date.

Successor to the previous model Galaxy Xcover S5690 rugged phone, the new Xcover 2 S7710 meets IP67 certified and to be the world’s first Android Jelly Bean rugged phone. In case you didn’t known, the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 S7710 smartphone has a 4-inch touchscreen display with WVGA 480 x 800 resolutions, and runs Android 4.1 operating system.

The Xcover 2 S7710 rugged phone boasts a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 1700 mAh Li-Ion battery that offers up to 570 hours of standby. As memory term, this phone has 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, and a MicroSD card slot that handle up to 32GB. For those people who want capturing photos, there are a 5MP rear-facing camera with 720p video recording and LED flash, as well as VGA camera on the front.

Other numerous improvements are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSPA (up to 14.4 Mbps), A-GPS (with Glonass), Bluetooth 4.0, and Music Player with SoundAlive. It is measuring 130.5 x 67.7 x 12 mm and weighs 148.5 grams.
