Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos smartphone made official

The Samsung‘s first dual SIM Android smartphone has official announced in South Korea. They are Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos smartphones. This latter is first seen on internet last week and both handsets are provides dual SIM card slots.

Like Motorola Fire with two SIM versions, the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos are actually dual-SIM versions of the Galaxy Y and Galaxy Y Pro smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and Galaxy Y Pro Duos Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is coming with a 3.14-inch touchscreen QVGA display, a rear-facing 3MP camera, a 830MHz processor, 4GB ROM, 3GB RAM, and a microSD card slot (2GB memory card is included), as well as Li-ion 1,300 mAh battery.

As connectivity, new Galaxy Y Duos has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, HSDPA, GPS, and Bluetooth 3.0.

Features of Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos smartphone are similar to specs of Galaxy Y Duos. But Galaxy Y Pro Duos packs a 2.6-inch touchscreen display, a full physical QWERTY keyboard, optical trackpad, VGA front-facing camera, and a Li-ion 1,350 mAh battery.

Dimensions of Galaxy Y Duos are 109.8 x 60 x 11.98 mm and weigh 109 grams, while the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos are 110.8 x 63.5 x 11.9 mm and weighs 112.3g.

There is no word on pricing yet but two dual SIM smartphones would be arrive starting January 2012 in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
