Samsung GT-B3710 4G modem via TeliaSonera

South Korean company, Samsung Electronics has signed an agreement with the telecommunications operator, TeliaSonera. According to contract, Samsung will begin shipping high-speed wireless modems that support the work of the 4th generation (4G) networks in next year.
TeliaSonera is a Swedish mobile operator, which also provides its services in northern Europe. It will be one of the first operators in the world, which will launch commercial service of LTE (Long Term Evolution) network. The hardware support of this network will provide Samsung, it is Samsung LTE device (Model name: GT-B3710). Samsung GT-B3710 USB modem is expected to be the world’s first LTE device.
It is based on the Kalmia chip with clocked at 2.6GHz. Samsung GT-B3710 Modem is compatible with the latest 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) LTE Release 8 (Rel-8) standard. Samsung GT-B3710 4G modem is connecting to computer via USB 2.0. The subscribers of TeliaSonera operator can get wireless access to the World Wide Web at speeds up to 100MB/s, which is 10x higher than existing wireless networks.
