Reportedly, the Samsung i9001, also known as the Galaxy S Plus or Galaxy S 2011 Edition will be available in the UK market later this year. There is no information about exact release date at moment.

Samsung i9001 Galaxy S Plus smartphone has better processor (a 1.4GHz Scorpion processor with Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon chipset) and larger battery (a 1650mAh Li-Ion battery).

Specifications on the Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition are including a 4-inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixel, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p @ 30fps video recording, 512MB of RAM, 8GB internal storage, a SD memory card slot (up to 32GB), HSDPA (14.4 Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76 Mbps).

The Samsung i9001 Galaxy S Plus (Galaxy S 2011 Edition) will brings Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
