Samsung Launches New Hard Drive “EcoGreen” F2EG 1.5 Terabytes
Samsung on Thursday announced the launch of a new hard disk Ecofriendly with a storage capacity of 1.5 terabytes, the model F2EG EcoGreen.
The new 1.5TB hard drive is the first of the line and uses F2EG Eco-Triangle Technology from Samsung that reduces power consumption, heat emissions and noise via a design that reduces the amount of moving components.
The hard disk has 3 disk that store 500GB each, which causes fewer disk hard drives traditional four or five disk, the amount of energy wasted is less require less energy to start the engine and make rotate on a continuous basis.
Sengun manufacturer, EcoGreen F2EG comes to consume up to 40 percent less energy than traditional hard drives when reading and writing data. Versions of 500GB and 1TB of storage will also include energy-saving technologies.
Samsung EcoGreen hard drive F2EG disk can be used as external and internal features 500GB/1TB/1.5TB capabilities, 16MB/32MB memory buffer, and an interface Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) to 3.0 gigabytes per second (Gbps).
Other technologies included in the new hard disk are called PMR, which is higher aerial density and improved performance of the transfer.
Hard Drive Samsung F2EG of 1.5TB will cost 149 dollars.
