U.S. Cellular has finally started selling Samsung Android smartphone as their promised, the Samsung Mesmerize (Galaxy S). The handset is currently available for cost of $199 after an $80 mail-in rebate.

The Samsung Mesmerize aka Galaxy S smartphone is running on Android 2.1 OS (Eclair) and boasts a 1GHz Hummingbird processor.

New Samsung Mesmerize smartphone packs a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, Swype Technology, 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, Social Hub, Media Hub, DLNA, GPS, a microSD card slot, and Lithium Ion battery that providing up to 7 hours of talk time, up 13 days of standby.

Dimensions of Samsung Mesmerize (Galaxy S) are 4.92 x 2.53 x 0.39 inches and weight 4.16oz.
