Samsung N130 and N140, officially introduced

Samsung has introduced two netbooks in Russia’s market; they are Samsung N130 and N140. Both netbooks are built based on the Intel 945GSE + ICH7M chipset and an Intel Atom N270 or N280 processor. Samsung N130 and N140 are equipped with 10.1-inch screens with a resolution 1024×600 pixel, 1GB DDR2 RAM 533MHz, 160GB hard disk SATA, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 0.3MP webcam, three USB ports, VGA connector and 3-in-1 card reader (SD/SDHC/MMC). The older model, Samsung N140 is equipped with 3W stereo speaker, and the youngest, Samsung N130 is 1.5W mono speaker.

Samsung N140 additionally equipped with a Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. It comes bundled with 6-cell battery capacity of 5,200 or 5,900 mAh (depending on configuration). Samsung N130 can be equipped with a 3-cell battery to 2,300 mAh or 6-cell 4,000 mAh.

The Samsung N130 and N140 have preinstalled set of widgets, games and proprietary software, as well as a number of applications at Microsoft. Samsung Easy Resolution Manager Software allows user to activate a screen resolution of 1024×768 pixels, user need to work with some programs and games. Samsung Battery Life Extender Utility supports the battery at 80% when the netbook is connected to the mains and this somewhat reduces the maximum battery life, but significantly extends battery life.

There is Samsung Recovery Solution which to protect OS from hard disk media failure, save backups of user data and system files and if user has problems allowing for 2-3 minutes restoring the system. It allows storing data outside from computer and share them with others is Microsoft Sky Drive service, singling subscribers up to 25GB disk space online. In addition, Samsung N130 and N140 are equipped Microsoft Office Home & Student for Netbook package.

Samsung N130 and N140 have dimensions 262×185.5×29.7 mm and weight (with battery of 6 cells) 1.27kg for N140 and 1.26kg for N130. These netbooks will be available in white, black and dark blue color.
