Samsung and the MetroPCS U.S. mobile operator collaborated with SA Studios Global announced the release of a special version of the SCH-R450 Messager mobile phone, branded Samsung Messager. The design has developed a well-known Los Angeles based tattoo artist Mister Cartoon (Mark Machado).

New product will be released a limited edition, it will be the amount of 30 thousand units. The first ten phones will be sold at auction, which begins on the MertoPCS‘s site in five days. Part of the revenue from phone sales will go to community art centers and programs for at-risk youth, as well as the purchase of equipment for schools in Los Angeles.

Samsung SCH-R450 Limited Edition “Samsung Messager” has no changes of specification. The Samsung Messager is equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 2.1-inch TFT screen with a resolution 176×220 pixel, Bluetooth, a music player, 1.3-megapixel camera and microSD memory card slot. Its phone has pre-installed wallpapers, ringtones and other multimedia content created by Mark Machado.
