Samsung SCH-W740: Officially announced New Touch Phone 8 MPX
Samsung has announced its new phone, with the intention to challenge models as well known as the LG Renoir and the Nokia N85. Its phone called Samsung SCH-W740 or Haptic 8M.
Like them, it incorporates a high resolution camera (8 megapixels), accompanied by a 3.3-inch touch screen, the corresponding options HSUPA and Bluetooth connectivity, an electronic dictionary, the essential T-DMB tuner (they speak Korean, not sure) and some kind of haptic system to fool your fingers when you press a virtual button. Turning the camera features face detection, multiple scene settings, a Xenon flash, and a “game-smiles” so you do not have to repeat more photos with me. It supports business card scanner, big 800×480 pixel touchscreen display and support for HSUPA for up to 5.7 Mbps.
The retail price is 900,000 won (490 euros/660 dollars), although you can wait a bit to find it on South Korean shelves.
