The new slim external 3D Blu-ray combo drive has just announced by Samsung, called the SE-406A. It has a sleek design with an anti-fingerprint surface. The Samsung SE-406A is designed to bring 3D Blu-ray to the desktop PCs or laptops.

Newly Samsung SE-406A slim external 3D Blu-ray combo optical drives are support for read and write CD/DVD discs. It is compatible with Windows and Mac OS X, as well as utilized USB 2.0 connectivity. The Samsung SE-406A can reads 6x BD-R, 4x BD-R DL discs, and writes 8x DVD+/-R, 8x DVD-RAM, 6x DVD+/-R Dual Layer, 8x DVD+RW, and 6x DVD-RW discs.

It is bundled with CyberLink TrueTheater software, which is capable to transforms 2D DVD movies into a 3D content. Cost of Samsung SE-406A portable 3D Blu-ray drive is $150 and will be available in April 2011.
