Samsung has expanded its line of digital compact cameras, previous we had write about another compact camera that HD support (Samsung SL720 / PL70 in Europe). The new camera has been named SL502 (in Europe, it will be marketed under the designation PL55) and it is equipped with 12.2-megapixel matrix, as well as 2.7-inch LCD screen and a USB 2.0 port.

Samsung SL502 Camera is equipped with lens with a 5x optical zoom but 35mm equivalent and has 8 shooting modes, as well as the functions of Smart Auto and Smart Album, and the options of recognizing those smiles and blinking. In addition, it is possible to capture video at 640 x 480.

Samsung SL502 Compact Camera has dimensions of 97x59x25 mm and will be available in August 2009 at a price of $149.99 in various black, silver, red, and blue colors.
