Samsung USB 3.0 standard, FIT, and DUO flash drives in specs, price

Besides unveiled several interesting smartphones, Samsung has also introduced three new USB 3.0 flash drives. It is called the Samsung USB 3.0 Flash Drive, Samsung USB 3.0 Flash Drive FIT, and Samsung USB 3.0 Flash Drive DUO. Each model has a specific characteristic and a premium metallic design.

Alls come with USB 3.0 technology that able to deliver a read speed of up to 130MB/s. But the USB 3.0 drives are also compatible with USB 2.0 connection. These flash drives have Samsung’s 5-proof technology, which survive when withstand in up to 72 hours in seawater and resist up to 15,000 gauss magnetic force. Thus, it is able to work in extreme temperatures (-0 degree to 60 degree Celsius), shock resistant (up to 1500 gravitational force) and X-ray machines.


More details, the regular Samsung USB 3.0 flash drive has a champagne colored exterior with high-quality metal casing and a streamlined. For easier, more natural use and grip, it comes with ergonomically-designed body. You’ll see the storage in capacities ranging from 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

Samsung USB 3.0 flash drive FIT comes with highly compact, even most compact of company’s new UFD lineup. Weighs just over two grams, the FIT is perfectly for those who use in ultra-slim notebooks or in automobiles (as music storage). Samsung FIT will be available in 32GB and 64GB of storage capacity.


The Samsung USB 3.0 flash drive DUO is a complete portable storage with a full-size USB port along side a microUSB port. The latter port offers a connection into smartphones and tablets. That means Samsung DUO is giving the flexibility and convenience of on-the-go storage.


Moving on price, the standard Bar type Samsung USB 3.0 flash drive costs $17.99 (16GB), $24.99 (32GB) and $49.99 (64GB). Next up! the FIT flash drive will price of 29.99 (32GB) and $49.99 (64GB). Unfortunatelly, there is no word further detail of price for 32GB and 64GB Samsung USB 3.0 flash drive DUO. Company says these new USB 3.0 flash drives will be arrive in 50 countries across the globe including Korea, the United States, China, Europe and other regions. The 128GB version would be available later this year.
