Samsung has introduced its compact digital camera, called Samsung WB650 (Samsung HZ35W). It is positioned as superzooms compact camera.
Samsung WB650 camera is used high-performance wide-angle Schneider KREUZNACH lenses with a 15x optical zoom and a focal length of 24-360 mm equivalent to 35mm film cameras. The Samsung HZ35W (Samsung WB650 in Europe) is equipped with a 12.2MP CCD sensors and dual image stabilization, optical and digital.
Another feature of Samsung WB650 digital camera is built-in GPS navigation system and support Geo-Tagging feature. The Samsung HZ35W camera is capable of 720p HD video recording (1280×720 pixels resolution) at 30 frames per second using H.264 compression.
The Samsung WB650 is equipped with 3-inch AMOLED display, HDMI, Beauty Shot/Face Detection/Self Portrait/Smile Shot/Blink feature. Dimensions of Samsung WB650/HZ35W are 107x61x28 mm.
Samsung WB650 camera will appear in March 2010. Samsung also introduced other compact camera, called Samsung HZ30W (Samsung WB600 in Europe). It is similar specifications with Samsung WB650 but equipped with a conventional LCD screen.
The cost of Samsung WB650 (Samsung HZ35W) and Samsung WB600 (Samsung HZ30W) cameras are not reported.
