SanDisk, well-known storage Solution Company, has officially introduced its new generation solid state drive for retail, the SanDisk Extreme II. According to press release, this 4th generation retail SSD is designed for enthusiasts and gamers. Of course, the SanDisk Extreme II SSD delivers high-performance technology for notebook computers and desktops such as improve data-transfer, application launching, and boot-up and shut-down times.
On hardware side, the Extreme II uses 19nm flash memory chip and SATA 6Gb/s connectivity interface (backward compatible with SATA 3Gbps and SATA 1.5Gbps). That’s allowing read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 510MB/s. New SanDisk Extreme II SSD has features 78,000 random write IOPS and 95,000 random read IOPS performance.
It measures 69.85 mm in width, 100.5 mm in height, and 7.0 mm in depth. Company provides three storage capacity spaces: 120GB, 240GB and 480GB. The SanDisk Extreme II solid state drive is offering for cost $129.99, $229.99 and $439.99, respectively.
