SanDisk G3 Solid State Drive, alternative 7,200rpm HDD

SanDisk has announced that begun shipping its Solid State Drives (SSD) in North America and Europe, the SanDisk G3 SSD. It is comes in 60GB and 1280GB of capacities. It is designed as alternative to a 7,200 RPM Hard Disk Drive (HDD) for many customers such as anyone who seeking increased durability and performance with high reliability storage solution.

SanDisk G3 Solid State Drive has provides up to 120MB/s write speed and up to 220MB/s read speed. It comes with ExtremeFFS flash management system, which is potential to accelerate random write performance and thus extend the endurance of SanDisk G3 SSD. The SanDisk G3 Solid State Drive is compatible with Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Linux, as well as Microsoft Windows 7 certified. SanDisk G3 SSD with 120GB capacity is priced at $399.99 and SanDisk G3 60GB SSD has $229.99.
