SanDisk pSSD P2 and S2, five times faster

At the Computex exhibition was introduced by SanDisk its next-generation flash memory-based solid state drives (SSD), SanDisk pSSD P2 and S2. There are designed specifically for netbook. According to the company, SanDisk pSSD P2 and S2 has offer up to 50 times faster the random write performance than the first generation SSDs.

Application of NCache technology has enables improves exit from the standby mode and an accelerated response times to user actions. Nonvolatile cache size to 320 MB of increasing productivity, and plus this will be able to retain data when a sudden power failures.

A new generation of solid-state drive, according to the manufacturers, it has become more energy efficient, which allows extending the time netbook. As possible applications, the company sees a device such as terminal services, cash machines, printers, and netbook. SanDisk pSSD p2 and s2 will be available in versions with capacity 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB.
