February 11th, 2009 | Filed under Technology 0 Comments

SanDisk has developed a new technology in 32nm Flash memory capable of storing much more information in the same size of current chips; a higher density will become new memories for the first half of the year. The technology we have called 4-bits-per-cell (X4) is capable of storing more than 64GB in size of an SD card.

The maximum size of SD card is 16GB or 32GB; depending on what you are willing to pay, but with the new X4 will launch 64GB cards now, with new capabilities for memory. Well, you will create needs for these cards.

This new technology achieves a higher density rate of 7.8 MB/s writing information, which if true is not very impressive, now with card Class 4 can be made to record information to 20MB/s.
