Seagate Barracuda XT hard drive, 2TB with 6 Gbps
After talking on Western Digital 2TB Caviar Black, Seagate has introduced a high-performance hard disk, Barracuda XT. It boasts SATA 6 Gbps and a capacity of 2TB. Seagate Barracuda XT hard drive is made in 3.5-inch form factor. The Barracuda XT hard drive is consists of 4 plates with a capacity of 500GB and has a rotational speed 7200 rpm.
The amount of embedded cache memory is 64MB. Speed of data exchange can reach up to 140 Mb/s, and the MTBF is 750,000 hours. Seagate offers a five year warranty for Barracuda XT hard drive. Sales of Seagate Barracuda XT HDD will begin this week, it can purchase for $299.
