Seagate NAS and NAS Pro for small businesses with 30TB

Seagate has official announced to launch two new network-attached storage devices, the Seagate NAS and the Seagate NAS Pro. Both storage solution have an intuitive operating system, which named the NAS OS 4.

According to press release, two new machines were designed for small businesses, which offering decent networking, web streaming and virtualization capabilities to their employees. But it will be happen even the small businesses don’t have many IT resources. The Seagate NAS device is suitable for company with up to 25 employees, while the Seagate NAS Pro is perfectly firms of up to 50 employees.

Hardware specs-wise, the Seagate NAS comes with 2- and 4-bays that support for 20TB of total capacity. It boasts a 1.2GHz Marvel dual-core processor and 512MB of RAM. New Seagate NAS Pro rocks a dual-core 1.7GHz Intel C2000 Series processor and 2GB of RAM. There are two-, four- and six-bay models of server with up to 30TB.

On software side, the Seagate NAS OS 4 provides App Manager, which controlling various skills such as surveillance via IP camera (Seagate Surveillance), Antivirus protection (Seagate Antivirus), universal access via web or mobile devices (Own Cloud), open-source publishing (WordPress / blogs), and synching/sharing of unlimited files (BitTorrent Sync).
