Seagate SV35.5 HDD, monitor 24/7 usage

Seagate introduced its new line of hard drives SV35.5. The new 3.5-inch drives are designed primarily for video surveillance systems, which operate 24 hours a day. Its 24/7 use.

Discs work at a speed of 7200 rpm. Have SATA 3.0 Gbps interface and, depending on the volume 8 MB, 16 MB or 32 MB buffer memory. SV35.5 Series produced volumes of 250 GB, 500 GB and 1 TB, and has a rate of up to 140 MB per second. This hard drive is lower power consumption at 7200RPM (5W).

“The hardware requirements for market surveillance particularly critical, and therefore it need to use hard drives, designed specifically for manufacturers of video systems“, said Carla Kennedy, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Product Line Management at Seagate.
