Sharp intros new AQUOS HDTVs with LED models

Japanese company, Sharp Electronics announced a new LCD HDTV series, equipped with LED background illumination. The new series includes models with a diagonal 52-inch (LC-52LE700UN), 46-inch (LC-46LE700UN), 40-inch (LC-40E700UN) and 32-inch (LC-32LE700UN), and all they can boast the image in Full HD solving with picture quality 1080p. In addition, all new televisions support Fine Motion Enhanced technology, to achieve an image update frequency of 120 Hz. New LED panels have contrast ratio of more than 2,000,000:1 and their lifespan is 100,000 hours, far longer than conventional LCD TVs, also it has 176-degree viewing angles.

The use of LED background lighting allows the new Sharp AQUOS HDTVs display more saturated colors with 10-bit depth, in particular, improved display in black. In addition, the new X-Gen Panel is much more economical than traditional solutions. Its power consumption is all between 55 and 105 watts.

Sales of new Sharp AQUOS HDTVs with LED backlight will begin in July, and the prices of their HDTVs from $1,100 to $2,800 depending on the diagonal size.
