Six Taiwan companies prepare Intel CULV notebooks
As reported by DigiTimes with reference to insider sources, six Taiwanese notebook manufacturers will soon produce white-box based on the cost of processors Intel CULV (white-box solutions will be sold at the major suppliers for their brands). Novelties prepared Pegatron Technology, Clevo, MSI, Compal Electronics, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) and Mitac. First deliveries CULV-laptops are scheduled for June this year. The model is the code name of MSI MS-135X, it is a version of X-Slim X340. Notebooks from Clevo is also based on the Celeron 723 processor and GS40 chipset, Model W8x0V will be offered in versions with 13.3 and 14-inch display, a R130x equipped with 13.3-inch display. These laptops will go on sale in August and June, respectively. ECS is preparing a 13.3-inch, ECS 130 model, it has Celeron 723 processor and GS40 chipset. It will be released in August, and T30 at the 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 processor and GS45 chipset, its mass production will launch in June.
13.3-inch laptop is powered by Compal, it is NTUCO code name, it will issue only in September. Pegatron has already demonstrated its CULV-laptops: 13.3-inch DC3e, RX8 and DC2 ultra-thin laptops. And finally, the last manufacturer, Mitac has released the model 9213 with a 13.3-inch and 9212 with 12-inch display, both of which are built on SU9400 processors and GS45 chipsets. In addition, in June of Mitac will introduce the new 13.3-inch 9223 notebook based on SU2700 processor and GS40 chipset.
