Sonos CR200 touchscreen multi-room system controller

Sonos has announced the sales start of multi-room system controller with touch screen, CR200. As previously reported in the news, Sonos CR200 is a remote control for wireless audio system, including possible joint play different songs in different rooms.

Sonos CR200 is offers 640×480 resolution and a distinctive feature of manufacturing a touch screen capacitance technology, which makes it more convenient, compared to the resistive technology used in most of these devices. With the help onscreen keyboard, the user can enter terms to search for tracks in the Audio Library and its personal search for radio stations, podcasts and satellite radio broadcasts of SIRIUS channels. Built in motion sensor automatically displays CR200 from the standby mode when the user lifts the panel, or you can simply touch the screen to automatically wake the CR200. In addition to the touch interface on the shell there are several buttons that are responsible for the most popular features such as Mute, change the sound volume and zone selection.

The body of the device is made of aluminum anodized, and the rear panel is covered with a layer of rubber to protect the surface and a more secure grip. The removable lithium-ion battery and provides approximately 5 days of autonomous operation without recharging. Sonos CR200 is available for purchase. Its cost is $350. You can also buy the Sonos Bundle 250 package consisting of a ZonePlayer 90 and ZonePlayer 120 to $1,000.
