Sony announced four new lenses for Alpha series DSLR

May 19th, 2009 Filed under Camera

Together with three cameras SLR Alpha A230, Alpha A330 and Alpha A380, Sony has announced four new lenses, prototypes of them were demonstrated at PMA 2009. They are intended primarily for those who first acquired the DSLR camera, and therefore make no claims to high quality accessories. The new lenses are made from low-cost structural components, including plastic fasteners, which naturally lower the price on them.

Despite the relatively low cost, the new lenses are equipped with high-quality performance optics and a new autofocus system, built-in SAM (Smooth Autofocus Motor). Two new items DT 18-55 mm F/3.5-5.6 SAM (model SAL-1855) and DT 55-200 mm F/4-5.6 SAM (SAL-55200/2) are included in kits with the new SLR cameras Sony A230, A330 and A380 and represent respectively the standard zoom lens and a fairly good telephoto. Two other models are the lenses with fixed focal length. Lens DT 50 mm F/1.8 SAM (SAL-50F18) is designed for shooting portraits, and model DT 30mm F/2.8 macro SAM (SAL-30M28), as it is clear from the title, fans will love macro.

The Sony SAL-1855, SAL-55200 and the SAL-50F18 new lenses are cost $ 200, $ 230 and $ 150 respectively. Advance orders are accepted between May 18 and on sale, they come together with the new SLR cameras in July.
