Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5, MHS-PM5K, and MHS-PM5 cameras

Sony announced new pocket cameras series at its press conference at CES 2010, Sony Bloggie series, intended for shooting and fast upload of video for quick sharing. They are Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5, MHS-PM5K, and MHS-PM5 camcorders.

New Sony Bloggie can record videos in 1920×1080 pixels resolution and store them in a MP4 file format. In addition, with the help of Sony Bloggie camera devices you can make 5 megapixel photos. Sony Bloggie can connect to a computer and recharge the internal battery is used USB port.

Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5 is equipped with a 2.5-inch LCD display, a lens with a 5x optical zoom and HDMI port. Sony Bloggie MHS-PM5 is on board 2.4-inch LCD display and swivel lens with 4x digital zoom, able to rotate at an angle to 270 degrees (Sony Bloggie MHS-PM5K boasts a 360-degree turn). Sony Bloggie MHS-PM5 camera has feature Sony’s SteadyShot image stabilization, but it cannot be used for shooting movies in HD quality.

Both new Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5 and MHS-PM5 are compatible with Face Detection technology in the frame and support Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD or SDHC memory card.

Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5, MHS-PM5K and MHS-PM5 are pre-installed with PMB Portable software, which is can be uploaded photos/videos to hosting services such as Shutterfly, Picasa Web Albums, YouTube, Dailymotion and Photobucket. In the near future, it will expand the portfolio and the popular social networking site, Facebook.

The Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5, MHS-PM5K, and MHS-PM5 already appeared for sale in the US market with price of $200, $190 and $170 respectively.
