Sony Developed New Biometric Security System: Mofiria

February 3rd, 2009 | Filed under Technology 1 Comment

Sony to find a new security system has created one of these systems apparently are infallible, but someone who gives time to find a problem that the investment into this system becomes worthless.

Sony has created a system called mofiria, sony’s mofiria, no, not a character out of Street Fighter. This system is not based on your footprint, not in your face, no passwords in the end prove to be the name of your pet, no, something more “internal.”

This system uses a camera and an infrared light is capable of determining the position of the veins in your fingers. If we’re talking about finger veins. The position of the veins is unique so it seems, and you can determine who is who simply by calculating its position. Will see the first products for testing later this year and 2010.

The problem is that people do not use it, if the system is the most common fingerprint reader or facial recognition, the use is minimal, it seems that people only feel safe if you use a word.
