Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2, officially introduced

As expected, Sony Ericsson announced its second Sony Ericsson XPERIA running Windows Mobile, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2. New Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 will be available early in the fourth quarter of this year in two colors: Elegant Black and Modern Silver. New model is replaces the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, submitted in February 2008.

It is designed for those who always need to be connected, whether it’s for personal life or business, according to manufacture, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 blurs boundary between play and work.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 is made in the sidebar slider form factor, equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-inch touch screen TFT display with a WVGA resolution 480×800 pixel (previously reported that the screen is made of AMOLED technology), 8.1-megapixel camera with autofocus, image stabilizer, support geotagging and video recording (maximum resolution video is 640×480 pixels, speed is 30 frames per second), up to 110MB of internal memory, a slot for microSD/microSDHC card (up to 16GB), stereo speakers, Wi-Fi (DLNA certified), Bluetooth, an accelerometer, and TV output.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 phone is supports 3D games, and control characters, some of them may be using the displacement XPERIA X2 in space. This phone has preinstalled Google Maps, Skype, Mytopia, facebook,Google, and Windows Mobile 6.5 OS supplemented with proprietary X-Panels shell. The latter consists of 14 panels designed to work with the various functions of the device and network services, another 16 additional panels can be downloaded from Sony Ericsson.

New Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 has supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSPA 900/1900/2100 MHz or 850/1900/2100 MHz (depending on the region distribution). Its dimensions are 110x54x16 mm and weight is 115g. Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 battery has provides up to 10 hrs in talktime (GSM) and Up to 500 hrs in standby time (GSM), up to 6 hrs in talk time (UMTS) and Up to 640 hrs in standby time (UMTS), up to 20 hours for music listening.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 phone is available in selected markets from early Q4 2009.
