Sony intros HDR-CX500V and HDR-CX520V HD Handycam with GPS

Sony Corp. has expanded its line of HD Handycam with two new models. New items are labeled HDR-CX500V and HDR-CX520V and equipped with a new backlit CMOS sensor, greatly improves the quality of the image. The illumination is not the front, as in the previous generation of sensors and rear, which allows twice as improve its sensitivity and to improve the quality of shooting in the dark. In addition, both the sensor include the 12 megapixels, which makes it possible to recording widescreen Full HD quality video in 1080i and also make good pictures.

Sony HDR-CX500V and HDR-CX520V is also equipped with GPS module that allows connection to coordinate not only the captured images, and video. In addition, Camera features have received a new three-way image stabilization and function of face detection system, allowing users to choose the priority of the frame by one person touching. A six-blade aperture reduces the probability of images with insufficient depth of the scene (shallow depth of field).

Sony HDR-CX500V and HDR-CX520V can record video in a qualitative format, AVCHD (H.264) and there are internal memory 32GB (for HDR-CX500V) and 64GB (for HDR-CX520V), respectively. Sale of both HD Handycams will be appearing in September at a price of $1,100 and $1,300 dollars for the HDR-CX500V and HDR-CX520V respectively.
