Sony intros wireless audio systems series, Altus
Sony announced a new series of wireless audio, Altus. It is based on a proprietary formulation of S-AIR, and is designed for buyers interested in the idea of creating a wireless audio system, elements of which can be located in different corners of the house.
The models are compatible with the iPhone and iPod: Altus ALT-SA31iR and Altus AIR-SW10Ti. In ALT-SA31iR included docking station for Apple devices, and wireless speakers, each of which has its own remote control and hardware controls. Altus AIR-SW10Ti has just one speaker, it is a dock for the iPod, but it added a wireless subwoofer, the total power is 60 Watts.
Two other products intended for use with a computer. Altus ALT-SA32PC is separate audio system with two speakers, as the iPod-oriented model, and USB transmitter, connected to a PC. Through the USB adapter system can transmit audio. Altus ALT-A33PC is a universal system of broadcast music without a speaker, and has for the RCA outputs, which can connect a home cinema. Specialized software (for Windows) provides a free arrangement of the audio signal from the multiple resources of music, such as iTunes and Windows Media Player. And, finally, a model of Altus ALT-SA34R is consisting of two wireless speakers; it is designed to enhance existing audio systems, and easily connects to any S-AIR system.
All models Altus series will be available in September this year. Cost of ALT-SA31iR and AIR-SW10Ti is $700 and $400 respectively, for the ALT-SA32PC and ALT-A33PC have to pay $500 and $200, while the model of ALT-SA34R will cost about $350.
