Sony NW-A840 thinnest Walkman with up to 64GB
Sony has introduced in Japan a new series of Walkman NW-A840 players. This is an ultraslim media player, their thickness is only 7.2 mm, and they are equipped with 2.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of WQVGA. New Sony Walkmans have a large amount of internal memory, especially the older model, the line includes 16GB NW-A845, 32GB NW-A846 and 64GB NW-A847. Sony NW-A840 Walkman is equipped with S-Master Digital Amplifier, FM radio and support for noise reduction technology. In addition, they have a TV-out.
Sony Walkman NW-A840 supports audio formats MP3, WMA, AAC, HE-AAC, ATRAC, ATRAC AL, PCM/wav and video formats MPEG-4, AVC (H.264) and WMV. Sony NW-A840 Player can work out before the next recharge within 29 hours of music playback and 9 hours of playback video. It is worth noting that support Wi-Fi wireless networks for these devices is not provided.
It has dimensions 104.9 x 7.2 x 46.8 mm (WxDxH) and weight is approx 62g. Sony Walkman NW-A840 Media player series will be available in black and brown colors. They will go on sale in Japan on 31 October and will cost 24000 yen ($263), 30000 yen ($329) and 40000 yen ($438) for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB version, respectively.
