Sony PS3 Slim was presented in mid-August, appeared on sale September 1st in the US with $299 and €299 in Europe. In Japan is stand in line September 3rd.
Sony PS3 Slim is slim-top box to 1/3 smaller and lighter than the standard versions, by using 45nm Cell CPU (instead of 65nm in the original), it also reduced power consumption and reduced noise.
Simultaneously, SCEI has announced for the Japanese market a set of PS3 Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Edition, which, in addition to PS3 console, white enclosure with a thematic pattern, 250GB hard drive (PS3 Slim has a 120GB hard drive) and the DUALSHOCK3 controller, YARPG Final Fantasy XIII. The package will be released on December 17, the day of Final Fantasy XIII is debuts on market. Its cost of Sony PS3 Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Editionis $460.
