Sony Reader e-book will be advertising

May 15th, 2009 | Filed under Miscellaneous 0 Comments

According to the New Media Age, Sony in the near future makes it possible to placing advertisements in their e-book, Sony Reader. It is still a device which was sold in quantities of 300,000 units worldwide since its release in 2006, it does not support this possibility. According to Steve Haber, the possibility of third-party advertising companies may bring to the Sony Reader more publishing companies, because it is an additional source of profit.

It is not yet clear what form of advertising will be placed in the Sony Reader. At least, the publishers of newspapers and magazines that you can download e-book are likely to be able to place advertisements on their pages. It should be noted that they will need to ensure that the advertisement was produced in formats that are supported by e-book.
