Sony has quietly launched the second generation of its SmartBand device. Called the Sony SmartBand 2, the most attractive point is an integrated advanced heart rate tracking. Meanwhile, the new wearable device providing activity and fitness tracker. It brings a multi-sensor lifelogger to allowing full-scale insights from your fitness and stress levels.
Sony SmartBand 2 is utilized an accelerometer and optical heart-rate sensor to measure your pulse, mood and stress during the day. The new one comes also alert features for a call, message, tweet, or email. All are vibration and blink LEDs that could be found on the strap. For notifications, there are three colored LEDs and customizable for different notifications.
Furthermore, the 2nd-gen Sony SmartBand is capable to act as a music navigator for your a phone or tablet such as play, pause, or skip music tracks. Its exterior fits IP68 certified that promises the highest level of water resistance. Next up! the health information will be able to transfer into the Lifelog smartphone application (iOS and Android compatible). As battery life, it supports a full two days that recharges in just around an hour.

As expected, the new Sony SmartBand 2 is compatible with all devices, which runs Android 4.4 KitKat (or higher) or iOS 8.2 (or higher). Sony plans to global sale starting sometime in September.
