Last autumn, the Sony has demonstrated a working model of the FED called, it will combine the advantages of technology, CRT and LCD. Because of financial difficulties the company Sony was not able to acquire all the necessary equipment to start serial production of FED, and it was decided to phase out all activities in this direction. At this time all of the technology, FED, which began back in 2006, paused.
So it seems that this technology will never see in stores (or at least not for now), but there is always the demonstration unit that Sony released in due course and we can deduce that have already left stored in a warehouse, forward to better times.
