Sony has patented a technology to use high PlayStation EyeToy camera to track objects in ordinary 3D space and recording them in a database to use later in the game process. This technique has been applied, for example, in the Eye of Judgment game. However, Japanese corporation wants to bring this technology to a new level, allowing use as a game controller, Sony Motion Controller, shown recently at E3, the ordinary everyday objects.
Recall, Motion Controller is a rod placed at the end of the ball purple color, movement and space in which the camera tracks the PlayStation Eye. These movements are interpreted software of PlayStation 3 console, and converted into appropriate action game characters.
Thus, new technology allows Sony to use in the game is not only a specialized device, but also the surrounding normal subjects. For example, in one of the illustrations shows how the motion of the plate U-shaped in the hands of the user interprets the gaming console in a “virtual world light sword”. Incidentally, the described technology like the new console for Xbox 360 code-named Project Natal, provided by Microsoft in June of the same show E3.
