Sony announced a new notebook that is more interesting considering its price (although they do not believe it is a Sony VAIO that is cheap, fairly rare). It’s designed for easy computing and entertainment at home or on the move. This is the Sony VAIO NW has a 15.5-inch screen, Blu-ray and a system can connect to the internet without even boot the operating system.

The new notebook comes with a 15.5-inch widescreen LCD display with a storage capacity of 500GB and 4GB of RAM. In addition it comes with a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 processor and an ATI Radeon HD 4570 graphics card.

It comes with HDMI connectivity, three USB 2.0 ports, ExpressCard slot, SD/Memory Stick card reader and “DISPLAY OFF” that allow the screen to turn off using an external button (very nice feature).

You can get Sony VAIO NW version without Blu-ray for $800 and the Blu-ray version for $880. The Sony VAIO NW range will be available in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Russia from this month.
