Sony Corp. is preparing to submit a second version of its ultraportable’s VAIO P notebook. New items under the name Sony VAIO P “mark 2″ is scheduled to release in October and November this year. In an interview with source, held at the presentation of another Sony VAIO W notebook, the representative of the Japanese company said that the second edition of Sony VAIO P, Sony VAIO P “mark 2″ will be sales success of the original model.

Sony representative said that although sales of VAIO P notebook not beat the record, its popularity in the business segment of the market is high enough. Many observers agree that this compact notebook is a typical niche product (as opposed, say, from the same Sony VAIO W) and cannot compete with the majority of those present in the market netbook because prices exceeding $900 and it is not an appropriate performance indicators.

The second version of the Sony VAIO P netbook, most likely, will receive as an operating system, Windows 7, not Windows Vista, as in the original model, and will have more powerful hardware that will speed up loading and operation. The characteristics of a new Sony VAIO P “mark 2″ have not yet been reported.
