Sony Corporation today introduced a powerful notebook, Sony VAIO Z (Sony VAIO VPCZ11Z9E and Sony VAIO VPCZ11X9E). The Sony VAIO Z notebook is powered by a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7-620M processor and support of Turbo Boost technology, up to 6GB of RAM, a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M GPU with 1GB GDDR3 VRAM.
New Sony VAIO Z notebook has features a 13.1-inch LED-backlit display with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Thanks to the integrated ambient light sensor detects, which is automatically adjusts the brightness on keyboard backlighting for accurate typing while dimming screen illumination to save power.
It is allows file access with innovative Quad SSD in Raid 0. In this mode, according to manufacture, the performance data storage systems will be 6.2 times higher compared to traditional hard drive 5400 rpm.
Among other features of Sony VAIO Z notebook is DVD writer, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a webcam, HDMI, and a sensor for fingerprints. Optional is VAIO Everywair 3G mobile broadband.
It is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional. Dimensions of Sony VAIO Z are 314x210x23.8-32.7 mm and weight is 1.43 kg. Release date of this notebook is March 2010.
