Sony has officially announced new brand its smartphone, the Sony Xperia E that promises will be affordable. Coming in simplicity, this handset is an entry-level smartphone but runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. The company is also unveiled its dual SIM edition, which called the Sony Xperia E Dual.
Both Sony Xperia E smartphones boast a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of onboard memory. The new smartphone packs a 3.5-inch touchscreen HVGA display, and a 3.2MP rear-facing camera with VGA video recording.
Sony Xperia E has Wi-Fi, HSPA, GPS, and a MicroSD card slot. Furthermore, the Xperia E equipped with xLOUD and 3D surround sound, HD voice and noise cancellation.
The Sony Xperia Edual should be available in two color options – black and gold. New single SIM version of Sony Xperia E will arrive in black, pink, and white flavors.
Dimensions of new Sony smartphone are 114 x 61.8 x 11 mm and weighs 116 grams. Its 1,500 mAh battery is enough to use the phone for talktime of up to 6.3 hours, up to 530 hours of standby.
There is no word on pricing but both handsets are scheduled go on sale in early 2013.
