Sony Mobile has recently announced a new 5-inch smartphone in Japan, the Sony Xperia UL. It seems a slightly thicker than the Sony Xperia Z that already available in the US. The Xperia UL smartphone was leaked last week. This handset is meets IPX5/8 rated (waterproof) and IP5X standard (dust resistance) that making you don’t worry when go to beach or outdoor activities.
New Sony Xperia UL phone sports a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and a 5-inch 1080p touchscreen display (a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels). Another selling point of this phablet is a 13-megapixel camera with a physical camera button and Exmor RS sensor, which allowing capture 15fps on burst photography. Like usual high-end smartphone, Sony Xperia UL provides NFC connectivity.
This phone packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz) and microUSB port (MHL support). Dimensions of Xperia UL are 71 x 135 x 10.5 mm and weighs 145grams.

Sony Xperia UL smartphone will be available for its native Japan through KDDI mobile carrier starting May 25th. This waterproof phone should be arrives in three flavor choices: black, pink, and white. I haven’t seen any pricing information for Xperia UL smartphone at moment.
