Alongside Samsung Ativ S Neo handset, Sprint has also unveiled another its first WP8 smartphone, the HTC 8XT. Interestingly, this phone is previously known as the HTC Tiara and comes with the BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers plus a dedicated amplifier.
The Sprint’s 8XT is basically improved version of the HTC 8X, which is first unveiled in late 2012. To offers studio-grade sound, the phone brings Beats Audio technology. So, the HTC 8XT Windows Phone 8 handset seems designed to meet Music-lovers want.
On hardware front, it has a 4.3-inch HVGA (800 x 480 pixels) touchscreen display (instead of 1280 x 720 pixels on HTC 8X) and a 1.6MP front-facing camera. The main camera is an 8-megapixel resolution with LED flash. The HTC 8XT smartphone boasts a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor, and a 1,800 mAh battery. In memory term, the 8XT provides 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory with expandable via MicroSD card support (up to 64GB). The phone has feature 4G LTE connectivity.
Sprint will sell the HTC 8XT smartphone for cost $99.99 after $50 mail-in rebate and require sign a 2-year contract. Like the Ativ S Neo, Sprint didn’t mention about exact launch date of this Windows Phone 8 smartphone.
