Sprint Samsung Transform Smartphone gets Specs
After published official pictures of Samsung Transform (SPH-M920) on Samsung website, Sprint has recently introduced premium Android powered devices, the Samsung Transform. Previously, Sprint has just introduced other premium Android smartphone, the LG Optimus S, which is both rollout of Sprint ID.
Samsung Transform is a side slider mid-range smartphone that has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and is designed for heavy text and email users. The Sprint Samsung Transform phone is packs a large 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen TFT display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels (HVGA), 3.2 megapixel rear camera with flash and video recording, VGA front-facing camera for video calling, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a microSD / microSDHC memory card slot with capacity of up to 32GB (a 2GB card included), and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Samsung Transform smartphone is boasts a 800MHz processor, Samsung (S3C6410) + Qualcomm (QSC6085) chipset, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and runs on Android 2.1 OS. There is a 1500 mAh Lithium (LiIon) battery that enabling up to 6 hours of talk time, up to 350 hours of standby time. The Sprint Samsung Transform smartphone is supported by CDMA EV-DO Rev. A.
Cost of Samsung Transform in the U.S. market is about $150 on a 2-year contract and will be available on October 10th, 2010.
