Super Talent RAIDDrive SSD up to 2TB hits next month
Super Talent prepares to release next month a series of solid state drives (SSD), RAIDDrive. It has maximum capacity of 2TB of storage and connects to the PCIe slot on the motherboard. It has allocated 1GB buffer cache memory. Super Talent RAIDDrive SSD has reaches the speed of read data from 1.3Gbps to 1.4Gbps and write speeds up to 1.2Gbps. Super Talent RAIDDrive SSD is an aluminum enclosure with 4 solid state drives (SSD) and SATA interface, which gives a maximum capacity of 2TB.
Super Talent RAIDDrive ES (Enterprise Servers) are optimized for use in enterprise servers (3U Rack) and are designed for tasks that require intensive data exchange. Super Talent RAIDDrive Workstation (WS) is designed for video and audio editing, working in CAD systems, scientific computation, and have less storage capacity. Both models are using SLC (single-level cell) flash memory. They can be connected to RAID 0 or RAID 5. They are available in versions ranging from 256GB to 1TB.
Super Talent RAIDDrive GS (Gamers and Enthusiasts) is designed for home use, for users who want to increase the performance of the disk system. It has uses a less expensive flash memory MLC (multi-level cell). They can be connected to RAID 0 or RAID 5 and are available in versions up to 2TB. It is not known the price of 2TB but RAIDDrive GS with capacity of 1TB would be sold as OEM product for $4,999.
