Super Talent has already demonstrated its revolutionary RAIDDrive SSD at the recently concluded Computex exhibition. This SSD is made in the form of expansion cards with PCIe 2.0 interface that allows it to reach speeds in theory the exchange of data in 80 Gbps (8GB/s). According to the demonstration, arranged by manufacturer, speed sequential read and write information into RAIDDrive SSD is 1.52GB/s and 1.33GB/s, respectively. This figure far exceeds the performance of the latest SATA Interface 6 Gbps (600 MB/s).
RAIDDrive SSD has four Indilinx SSD controllers, eight PCIe 2.0 interface, and it is based on multilevel cell (MLC) NAND flash. Moreover, it has 1 GB of cache memory, which allows the SSD have the capacity up to 2 TB.
Super Talent RAIDDrive SSD is designed for use in enterprise server systems, workstations, and powerful gaming computers. It comes with coming with ES, WS and GS systems, 2-year warranty from the manufacturer, but its value is less than $ 1,000.
