Supermicro server solutions Intel Atom based and efficient

Super Micro Computer (Supermicro), known as a manufacturer of high-performance servers, announced the availability of new server clusters based on Intel Atom processors to power 4 and 8 watts. These are very quiet and economical units designed specifically for embedded industrial computer devices. They represent an ideal device for data storage and the network, as well as for use as small and print servers. These are extreme low-power server and designed for embedded industrial PC (IPC) applications.

The new server solutions are executed in blocks format Mini-Tower in a user-friendly design, according to the manufacturer, are highly cost-effective in terms of your home or office workstation, designed to perform basic tasks, such as the Internet, as well as with office and educational programs.

For example, Supermicro X7SLA-L platform is optimized for use with single-core Atom 230 processor, whose power consumption is only 4 watts. It supports up to four SATA ports and RAID modes 0, 1, 5 and 10. The device also supports up to seven USB 2.0 ports, it has 2 GB of RAM DDR2, Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics, and port Gigabit Ethernet. But X7SLA-H model is equipped with dual-core Atom 330 chip with 8 watts of power, the two ports of Gigabit Ethernet, etc. Those who need more opportunities, Supermicro offers server SuperServer 5035A, equipped with four compartments for storage with the function of hot-swappable, as well as support for two external 5.25-inch bays.
