The official blog of Symbian Foundation reported that it had started cooperation with ST-Ericsson and ARM. The purpose of the joint work is the creation of productive Symbian-phonesbased on dual processors. Already tested hardware ST-Ericsson U8500 smart phone platform ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore processor, this is the first industry solution of its kind. Despite the fact that the platform is based on the Symbian operating system and dual-core processor is already in place, the release of a commercial product based on it is too early to say, Symbian Foundation is not telling the timing of its release. It is noteworthy that supported this decision, the possibility is certainly cause for respect.
