Symbian Foundation has announced a special service of Symbian Horizon. It helps the developers in distributing their applications for the Symbian operating system. Participation in the Symbian Horizon is free, the developers only need to register. According to Symbian Horizon, Horizon is like a book publisher or record label service, only to software. Developers can leave a request for publication of their applications or even the idea of an application, the best development will be located in the Nokia Ovi Store.
As pointed out in Symbian Foundation blog, through the Symbian Horizon accepted as paid or free applications. These can be games, utilities, particularly interested in the functional program, offering, for example, the integration of GPS and the web. Preference will be given to applications for the Symbian platform, and programs for existing platforms, Symbian will also be accepted. Symbian Horizon starts in October, as long as developers can register.
