Telstra Australia, world’s first HSPA+ Dual Carrier Network
Telstra Australia has announced world’s first HSPA+ Dual Carrier network. Its Next G HSPA+ network with Dual Carrier technology is collaboration with Ericsson, Qualcomm and Sierra Wireless. According to Telstra, it makes a better customer experience in areas of high demand.
The HSPA+ Dual Carrier technology is able to Telstra to receive and send wireless data using two channels simultaneously that providing the peak network downlink speeds of 42Mbps. This HSPA+ Dual Carrier plus MIMO technology will require new device that compatible with this technology. The device is expected to available into market in 2011.
