Thecus has released a network area storage (NAS) drive, Thecus N0503 ComboNAS. According to the manufacturer, this NAS is the world’s first such device compatible with both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives.
Thecus N0503 ComboNAS NAS was first demonstrated in early June at Computex 2009. This network storage supports the storage of up to five 2.5-inch hard drive, installed vertically in a special removable stand, or three 3.5-inch hard drives is also mounted vertically.
In addition, Thecus N0503 ComboNAS equipped with Intel Atom processor, and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and JBOD. There is support for iTunes, photo web server, as well as uPnP AV streaming. The cost of a new Thecus N0503 ComboNAS has not yet been reported.
